Cheap housing suburbs set to fly the coup as Gosford and Punchbowl prepare for record prices

Bargain hunters best be quick; Sydney’s cheapest suburbs are on the incline. Notoriously cut-rate areas like the Central Coast, Eagle Vale and Punchbowl are bracing for record steeps in home prices over the next 12 months.

There has been a 28 per cent increase in first homebuyer activity since July, with most first-time purchasers the beneficiary of stamp duty exemptions on homes under $650,000 and discounts on homes under $850,000.

With the recent demand coupling with a limited supply of lower-cost housing options, competition has increased between potential buyers ten-fold, forcing them to offer higher prices.
