The Landlease community of Jordan Springs, located 7kms from the Penrith city centre, has experienced a significant increase in its median house price in the last 12 months.
The western suburb’s median house price is $678,000, Corelogic RP Data records show.
The figure jumped 19 per cent in the 12 months to February, greater than the Sydney average of 15.3 per cent. In the past three years it spiked 30.9 per cent.
Houses, units, a selection of parks, a shopping centre and a lake now occupy what was part of the former Commonwealth-owned Australian Defence Industries site, bordered by the Wianamatta Regional Park, according to The Daily Telegraph.
